About the Job
Sveriges lantbruksuniversitet (SLU) is currently seeking an AV Project Engineer who wants to be part of developing, managing, and future-proofing the university's audiovisual environments.
In this role, you will work closely with operations on the design, coordination, and development of AV solutions in teaching rooms, meeting rooms, and other learning and meeting environments. The work includes new installations, reinvestments, and further development of existing environments.
You will work with the entire chain from needs analysis and requirement specification to planning, ordering, coordination, follow-up, and handover. The role involves continuous contact with operations, suppliers, and internal specialist functions. You will handle several parallel activities simultaneously and thrive in a role that combines technology, structure, collaboration, and a high degree of personal responsibility.
The position also includes work with lifecycle management, documentation, and administration-related activities linked to the university's AV and video environments, as well as central systems for monitoring and maintenance. AV Support has recently completed extensive work within IT Asset Management (ITAM), which is now transitioning into the management phase. The role will have important responsibility for further developing and managing methods, processes, and information related to the university's AV assets.
You will become part of AV Support's management team and contribute to creating long-term sustainable, user-friendly, and well-documented solutions for the university's educational, research, and collaboration environments.
The work is carried out across locations towards SLU's main campuses, other locations, and research stations.
Your Background
We are looking for you who have experience with AV technology, project engineering, or technical coordination in a larger organization and who thrive in a role where collaboration, structure, and operational understanding are important parts of the work.
Qualifications
- Experience working with AV or related technical solutions
- Experience with project engineering, technical coordination, or management of AV environments
- Experience with requirement specification, documentation, and working with suppliers and technical deliveries
- Experience with inventory, lifecycle management, or other structured handling of technical assets
- Good ability to express yourself in speech and writing in Swedish
Meritorious Qualifications
- Education in the Public Procurement Act (LOU)
- Experience working within a university or other large public sector operations
- Experience working related to IT Asset Management (ITAM)
- Experience with Extron- or Cisco-based AV and video solutions
- Relevant certifications within AV or video conferencing solutions
- Experience working in projects or AV initiatives
To succeed in the role, we see that you are structured, self-initiative, and meticulous, and have the ability to drive the work forward in a methodical and solution-oriented manner. You are engaged in your work and thrive in collaboration with both operations, suppliers, and technical specialists.
The role involves many parallel activities at a relatively high activity pace and therefore presupposes that you can prioritize, take own initiatives, and drive tasks forward in a structured and efficient manner.
Great importance is attached to personal suitability.
